Andrea Fulerton Nails

This week I'm wearing a nail polish I'd forgotten I had. It's an Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique Trio in the colour 'Rain Fall'.  I found it tucked in the back of one of my nail polish draws, saw it and immediately thought 'Summer!'

It's a colour I'd call the perfect Mermaid colour, with its blue/green tones and with a blend of chunky and fine glitters, it has plenty of dimension to it. I love how it can look dark blue in some lights, and a vivid teal in others.

The way these nail colours work, is that you paint the darker colour on first, then top it with the lighter colour, although they do look nice if you choose to wear the colours separately.

You can buy this range of polishes in larger Superdrugs, or online, here's the link to the particular polish I'm wearing at the moment. Andrea Fulerton - Rain Fall

What's in my make-up bag?

Whilst writing this, I'm also in the process of packing to go and see my grandparents for a couple of days. I thought this was the perfect chance to show you all what's in my make-up bag.

First of all here's a quick overview of the contents...

My make-up bag is from Superdrug, and is perfect for packing as a its triangular, so it works perfectly for filling spaces!

Ok, so brushes, I apply my BB Cream and concealer by hand at the moment, as it's proving to be a good method! So from L-R there's Revlon powder brush, Real Techniques Buffing brush (currently using for applying blusher), Real Techniques Stippling brush (Using this for cheek highlight), Real Techniques Contour brush (Used for contouring!), Revlon Flat eyeshadow brush, MAC 224, Kryloan angled brush (which I use for filling my brows in), and 2 MAC 217s (One for crease work, and one as a brow highlight).

Palettes - These tend to vary depending on my mood/look I want, but at the moment, this is what's on my face. Urban Decay Naked palette (I've hit pan on a fair few, need to decide if it's worth a repurchase or not!) HD Brows (This is the vamp palette, and I use the dark brown in the bottom left), Soap & Glory bronzer (this came in a set my sister got a couple of Christmases ago, it's not my favourite, but its also not orange when I apply to my face, so I'll keep going with it.) MUA Highlighter (I love this product, it gives such a beautiful natural glow to my skin, a must if you like a dewy look) The next product is a skin toned eyeshadow for my brow highlight, and finally MUA Blusher in Candyfloss (A little goes a long way with this, but it's a beautiful colour if you want a lightly flushed look on your cheeks).

Face and Eye products - A current favourite, Garnier BB Cream for Oily skin, this stuff is brilliant, I prefer using it instead of foundation, regardless if it's summer or not. For primer I'm currently using Garnier 5 Sec Perfect Blur (My sister bought this, and didn't like it, but I love how my skin looks with it on) Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, MUA Eyeshadow Primer (This is as good as any high end primer, if not better!) MUA Clear (well it was) Mascara, I use this to set my brows in place. Then there's my new Revlon eyelash curler, I'm not liking this one as much as I liked the original one. Following that, are my eyeliners, Revlon brown Khol eyeliner, and Maybelline precise liquid liner pen. Finally is a must try product, Maybelline The Rocket mascara, this has blown Benefit's They're Real out of the water!

Finally my setting powder, this is normally decanted into a small tub, but I've yet to do that with this one! It's Kryloan Loose powder, it's translucent, and it keeps my make-up in place all day, without it looking caked on.

Like any girl my make-up bag contents does vary, but these are the products I'm loving at the moment! Now off to finish packing!

Mini Superdrug haul.

Today I popped into my local Superdrug in the hopes of finding the new MUA Blushes. Normally it takes a while for new products to hit our tiny town, it's a little behind the times to say the least! Nevertheless, they actually had them in stock, score!

Due to the fact the 3 for 2 deal is still on for all make-up, I decided to pick up the 3 blushes which will most suit my pale skin. I ended up getting Cupcake, Lolly and Candyfloss. Most of the blushes are matte, which is perfect as if I'm going for the shimmery look, I'd rather add it myself.

Cupcake is described as good for pale skin (ideal for me) and is a dusty muted natural pink.

Lolly is a light coral orange/peach colour and suits more sun kissed skin tones (lets hope the sun makes an appearance!)

Finally Candyfloss, this is the most vibrant one I bought, it's a light pink rose colour, has a very fine shimmer layer and is designed for pale/medium skin.

Now for the best part, the pictures!

As I've yet to wear these, there's no point in fully reviewing them, but from having swatched them, I can already tell they're very soft and easy to blend, they feel nice, and the colour translates beautifully from palette to skin.

I also bought myself a new pair of eyelash curlers, I thought these ones from Revlon, albeit tacky, were also so cute (I love purple!).  As I already have a pair of Revlon lash curlers, I know these are trust worthy and work well from my lashes. I think I'm going to deep clean my other pair and put them in my professional kit!

Have a great weekend!
